PRIVATE YOGA CLASSES

One-to-one yoga sessions are open to all levels of practitioner and tailored towards what you want to get out of our time together. If you’re new to yoga please see the section below for an overview of what may be covered in sessions.

For the more experienced practitioner looking to develop certain aspects of their practice - physical, philosophical or anything in between - please contact me to arrange a chat. Private sessions can take place at your home or place of work. And if meeting face-to-face can’t happen, we can move sessions online.

NOTES IF YOU’RE NEW TO YOGA

If you’ve had no experience or have been to a few yoga classes feeling you could benefit from a one-to-one focus, together we will lay the foundations to build a solid practice. We will:

  • introduce and establish a meditation and pranayama (breath control) practice

  • establish a breath and movement connection

  • develop a basic understanding of what the body is doing in and between asanas (postures)

  • understand what your body is physically capable of at this moment and how to modify your practice accordingly

  • appreciate the importance of using props

  • learn to listen (if you’re ever in a led yoga class, notice if you find yourself preempting asana’s)

  • build the confidence to attend more yoga classes while practicing mindfully and intelligently
